OPI Nail Lacquer “Pink of Hearts 2010″
I was really surprised by this color. I didn’t know OPI was doing a frosty pink this year and I’m not a fan of frost unless it’s done right. This color is very nice on the nails. It’s a really nice light pink frost with fine silver shimmer. I only needed two coats and the application was great. I only noticed a few nails with obviously brush strokes which isn’t bad for a frost. OPI “Pink of Hearts 2010” is limited edition and retails for $8.50 and is available at professional salons including ULTA, Trade Secret, and JC Penney.
Zoya Wicked Collection Fall 2010

Top row, left to right: Edyta, Juileanne, Cheryl
Bottom row, left to right: Karina, Carrie Anne, Kym
Edyta – A gorgeous gray-green with blue undertones with rich gold shimmer and flecks of silver and even a dash of red. This color is pretty unique and definitely a must have of the collection. In some lighting it looks gray, some blue, and of course green. Pretty fab is you ask me.
Juilanne – Deep purple jelly base with bright purple flakes and flecks of purple glitter. Even though I used indoor lighting duo-chrome flakes of purple, yellow, and green can be seen. Once I applied it it was as pronounced. Nice color none the less.
Cheryl – Warm brownish red with red and copper shimmer. The color looks browner than copper red on me and even though I love this color it didn’t do anything for my skin tone.
Karina – Ohh we have a winner! This shimmery carmine red is gorgeous! It has some strong pink undertones and makes the color fun to wear. The red micro glitter/ shimmer and gold fleck really make this color pop! I can see a color like this being a big year-round hit at nail salons.
Carrie Ann – I would have to describe this shade as the “mature” version of Karin since it has less pink and more orange-red undertones. It’s still very shimmery and the gold flecks are still there as well.
Kym – Kym is a nice warm shimmery red with a hint of brown, red shimmer with fleck of silver. This is my least favorite from this collection. Kym is redder and less brown than Cheryl but browner than Carrie Ann. It just may be your cup of tea.
Zoya Wonderful Collection Fall 2010

Top row, left to right: Kelly, Stacy, Burke
Bottom row, left to right: Kristi, Cola, Shawn
Kelly – Ladies you know I love a nice grey and Kelly is perfect! It’s creamy, not too light, and not too dark. Of course this isn’t just a typical gray polish. It’s more of a taupe gray with a hint of lavender undertones. In some lighting you can see more lavender a lot more.
Stacey – This color is another fave of this collection! It’s a cream mulberry with a great blend of red and purple. It’ll be great for the ladies that want to start wearing dark colors but don’t want to start off too dark. I typically wear a lot of black and grey clothing so I’ll be wearing this color a lot.
Burke – This color had so much potential. Sadly, this is my least favorite color. It’s a cream, muted, pinkish berry red. This first coat was gorgeous but streaky…but I really liked the color. Once I applied the second coat the color became too dark and it deepened the color.
Kristi – One of the most perfect reds I’ve seen in a while. It’s creamy, bright, and not too warm and not to cool…simply a great red that can will be worn year around. If you don’t own a great red this one is sure to please. This was the only color out of both collections that required 3 coats.
Cola – Cola is also a fave! I’m a child of the 80’s but this polish reminds me of that popular color pinto bean color of the late 70’s. I absolutely love that vintage feeling. This creamy warm reddish brown has just the right amount of orange to make it fab.
Shawn – This creamy olive green has just the right amount of yellow undertones to make it a must have of the season. I get the same vintage feeling like I got with Cola.
Zoya did wonderful (no pun intended) job with these collections. The formulas weren’t as thick as I remember them back when I tried them over a year ago. The pigmentation is great and with the exception of Kristi I only needed 2 coats. If you’re good you may even be able to get away with doing 1 coat for some of these. That’s going to save you money in the long run. If I had to make a recommendation on which collection to get if I had to pick, I would go with the Wonderful Collection. I love cream finishes because I find them to be very versatile but the colors in that collection are perfect. It’s something there for every nail polish lover to the everyday woman.

Overall Rating 4.4 out of 5
Jitterbug – mid-tone grey chrome frost w/ silver micro glitter
Bogie – plum frost w/ brown undertones and shimmer
Hey Doll – rose frost w/ brown undertones and pale gold shimmer
Foxy – frosty warm red w/ brown and deep orange undertones w/ copper shimmer
Ingrid – cream brown w/ taupe and grey tones w/ copper micro glitter
Swing Baby – molten taupe frost with silver micro glitter
Out of the two parts of this collection this one is by far my favorite and a must-have. “Foxy” is classic but new for me. My mom use to wear a bronze red that was something like this color but I’ve yet to find one close that I like ’til now. Ingrid is just as gorgeous as I thought it would be. Swing Baby is chic and Jitterbug will look even better with a matte top coat. The only color I didn’t care for was “Hey Doll’. I think it could have had more pink undertones. The formula was great…all I needed was two coats.
