The scent of Silky Underwear has got to be one of the most iconic LUSH scents. It’s been around for ages, and is always appearing in products. If you’ve ever tried Silky Underwear Dusting Powder, All that Jasmine, Fairy Jasmine or Alkmaar soap, you’ll recognize the soft, smoky scent of vetivert mixed with jasmine. The deep floral tones make this scent unforgettable. A soft and sophisticated, feminine fragrance. People are always asking us to make this scent into a perfume. Your wish has been granted! Jasmine absolute is said to relax the mind and body, and act as an aphrodisiac.

I love everything about Silky Underwear, it’s a very captivating yet simplistic fragrance. Not only was it one of the first dusting powders but it was also one of the first products I purchased from Lush during my first visits. I nearly lost my mind when I read that Lush was releasing limited edition perfumes of their fan’s favorite fragrances, and that Silky Underwear and Olive Branch would be included. Upon first spritz Silky Underwear Perfume it had a detectable hint of spice but it diminished with in a couple minutes and balanced out to be fragrance that I’ve always loved. Not straying from the original scents of cocoa butter, jasmine, and powdery and slightly spicy vetivert it;s every bit of perfection. I’m in love! I sprayed 2 spritz early morning and it lasted the entire day on my shirt and most of the day on my skin.

Since they’re limited edition for now I have to grab a couple. I honestly can’t see why Lush would discontinue such a wonderful perfume but Lush loves to keep us on our toes when it comes to keeping products in rotation. Only gripe, and it’s very minor and probably not worth mentioning is that I wish the top was matte like that bottle. But I actually like the bottle and it’s matte black ruggedness….I love all black everything.

Lush Cosmetics Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner Pictures and Review

Rose scented shower ‘lotion’ with scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, this is the most luxurious body softener that ever was (if we don’t say so ourselves!).

You guys know I’m a sucker for a good in-shower body moisturizer! They save me so much time in the morning when I’m rushing out the door to get to work. Lush has several ~~in-shower moisturizers~~ Body Butters to satisfy my needs; King of Skin, Schnuggle, Buffy Body, and You Snap the Whip…just to name a few. This time they took a different approach by making the Body Butter into a cream form and putting it in a jar. Ro’s Argan is an in-shower lotion infused with cocoa butter, almond oil, rose extract, and other goodies. I know the cocoa butter/ rose combo sounds a little off-beat but trust me it’s wonderful. It’s a creamy vanilla rose fragrance with a hint of cocoa; great for girls that love rose and even those that don’t particularly care for it. The texture is creamy and surprisingly it wasn’t a pain for me to dig out product while in the shower and just it rinses easily. I have dry skin and found Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner to be highly moisturizing but not as moisturizing as King of Skin (which is a Body Butter, so it’s supposed to be more moisturizing, versus Ro’s Agran which is a lotion). But I also found it to be very softening and my skin feels amazing. I do wish the price point was lower…maybe around $15-20, but you do get a great deal of product for the price.

P.S. Lush, I’d be ever so happy if you captured this scent in an exfoliating body butter….pretty please.

Buche de Noel is French for yule log – not the kind you throw on the fire though, the kind you eat (a log-shaped cake). Although ours is full of edible ingredients too, we recommend you use it to cleanse your skin. Once you do, ‘yule’ be wishing you could wash with it all year long! Our holiday cleanser is suitable for all skin types, with gently exfoliating ground almonds, softening almond oil, and nutrient-rich seaweed. Hydrating, softening and equally important, this cleanser smells stunning!

Let me just begin by saying I’m already not happy about being hooked on a face cleanser that’s limited edition. I’ve used Lush Angels on Bare Skin since I started using Lush products almost 3 years ago, so trying a new holiday version of AOBS seems fitting since we’re in the holiday season. The scent of Bûche de Noël is perfect and not the typical accords of spice, berries, or pine; imagine oatmeal with butter, vanilla, and fresh cranberries. I prefer to use Bûche de Noël as my second cleanser once my makeup is removed. I found it to be a gentle exfoliating cleanser and also skin softening (assuming because of the almond oil, glycerine, and cocoa butter).

As much as I love it I have to admit that it is a bit messy. This is something I’ve come to accept because after all it is a unique product and just as with Angels on Bare Skin (for combination skin), Herbalism (for oily skin), Aqua Marina (for sensitive skin), and Dark Angels (for oily skin and breakouts), it simply comes with the territory of having great products that aren’t made for bottle and typical use. You either love it or hate it, and for most that hate it we still use it because they’re so wonderful to the skin. Make sure your face is damp, take a pea-sized chunk and make it into a paste using warm water in your hand, than massage it into the skin. Make sure you rinse thoroughly. I noticed with Bûche de Noël I often had a few tiny grounds left on my face.

Thankfully I have to pass Lush on my ride to and from work every day because during the last visit, Bûche de Noël was sold out so I was given a sample. As soon as they’re stocked again I’ll be buying a full-sized pod.
