Happy Turkey Day!! I had a super long day and wasn’t even sure I’d be able to get anything posted today. Thankfully Christine at Temptalia posted a lot of wonderful beauty deals and I added a few as well. Today the Man and I hosted our first Thanksgiving dinner and surprisingly everything turned out great. But they wasn’t ready for my homemade cranberry sauce. Haters! It wasn’t even tart…but nooo they didn’t want it. I was able to get in all my Black Friday shopping for the boys and I’m taking the family out to venture the city tomorrow before they head back to Los Angeles. Adesign is hitting us with a brand new set of brushes. I’m always on the fence about sets because they’re always missing 1 or 2 brushes that you really need or want. Maybe I’m just being picky but if I’m going to purchase a brush kit –I prefer to have an all-in-one essential (no pun intended) brush kit. I need to be able to apply my foundation without be restricted to a single type of foundation. I go from cream, to liquid, to powder like nobody’s business. I also need essential eye brushes. I hate when a kit comes with 1 or 2 eye brushes. These days we’re creating more flawless and defined looks. With all that being said, the Adesign “Essentials” Set is going to be a hit! The set includes the Powder, Angled Cheek, Foundation, Pointed Crease, Gel Liner, All Over Eye, Eye 1 and Groomer brush. I can’t think of anything this kit is missing; for the woman on the go that just needs an everyday kit, a makeup pro, or someone getting into makeup and needs a starting point. It’ll fit most liftstyles. The black case isn’t my style but it’s very durable and you can wipe it off if you get makeup on it. I wish is had pockets for makeup storage.

Adesign has finally released their new lineup of makeup brushes. I’ve been hearing whispers about these new brushes since early spring and couldn’t be more excited. Adesign is known for creating high quality, innovative makeup brushes. We all know that great makeup brushes are the key to achieving a flawless look. I’m not doing a complete review of theses brushes but wanted to share my first impression and photos. I’ll do a video for the review.

I did a video review of adesign brushes a couple months ago and still run to them for every makeup application. When I initially purchased these brushes about 7 months ago (or longer, I don’t remember) the main reason I justified purchasing them was beucase they’re unique brushes. Per adesign’s site.. Please note that the adesign foundation kabuki’s are patent pending. This design is the property of adesign and cannot be shared or used without prior written consent. Well not anymore. I spotted both the pointed and flat top kabuki on CoastalScents.com $11 cheaper. Not only do they appear to be the same brushes but the black patent leather snake skin printed case looks exactly the same as well. I’m assuming (and we all know what happens when people assume) one of three things took place: one, adesign gave Coastal Scents written permission. Two, adesign let their patent expire. Three, Coastal Scent went around the patent and went straight to adesign’s manufacture.
