What’s Your Favorite Red Lip Combination or Color?
My answer
It depends on my mood and outfit. For an everyday “jeans and t-shirt” outfit I’d have to go with MAC “Brick” lip liner and Sephora Rogue Cream lipstick in “The Red”. Here’s a great video by Dusty that will answer every question you’ve ever had about red lipstick, how to wear it, how to find the best red lipstick for your skin tone, and everything in between.
I love Dita! How to you look stunning holding a receipt?! I could never make a receipt look this good…hell I can’t make scratch paper look good LOL! I’m not sure how many MAC Viva Glam Gift Sets she purchased but at $36 each she put her money where her heart is and supported a great cause.
Does anybody remember when she was the face for Viva Glam about 5 years ago?
I like my lipgloss sticky because it last longer with frequently reapplying. I got sick of MAC LipGlass getting a funky smell after a month or two, so I’ve been sticking (no pun intended) with Wet N Wild Glassy Gloss. I did a review about it a while back and its been tried and true ever since.
After joining Cyndi Lauper as this year’s MAC Viva Glam lipstick spokesperson, Lady Gaga has signed on for another year of the same. Since the lipstick’s launch in 1994, sales of Viva Glam have raised more than $190 million for the MAC AIDS Fund; MAC says that the Gaga/Lauper campaign was the most successful ever. Here’s a first look at Gaga’s surprisingly soft campaign ad, featuring a peachy pink lip color that we can’t wait to check out. Until then, have a look at what Cyndi and Gaga’s Viva Glam shades look like on Team Bella.
I’d personally beg Gaga for an entire makeup collection with MAC!
A Limited Edition Lipstick personally designed by Nicki Minaj to celebrate the release of her debut album Pink Friday. Featuring a bright, creamy pink satin formula, Nicki’s shade is only available online for four Fridays starting November 26, 2010, while supplies last.
…the world will pretty much be on “Pink 4 Friday” watch Thursday night. If Nicki brings the World Wide Web down I’ll call her the QUEEN!
Update: MAC normally hounds their subscribers with countless emails about releases or at least send it to a few bloggers but I haven’t read an email or anything. They’re even using the picture from Nicki’s album cover :-/…let me find out MAC is shadin’ Ms. Minaj. Unless they’re going to pull a cat out of the bag they really didn’t do much of anything when it came to the promotion of this lip color at all. These promo pictures just confirms what I was thinking…MAC did do a half ass job with the promotions for “Pink 4 Friday”. Nicki was wearing that same hair yesterday on “106 & Park” and it looks like they just told her to stand there and do whatever and just be Nicki. It doesn’t look like any effort was put in.
Update: Erin with Scandalous Beauty posted a great swatch of “Pink 4 Friday” along with the promo pics. The color seems too light for my taste but I’ll still buy and try to work with it.
The rapper was on The Wendy Williams Show today and we get to see a sneak peak of the lipstick. I reported earlier that my source told me it was a mix between MAC Pink Nouveau and Girl About Town Lipsticks but after seeing the lipstick it’s more Pink Nouveau than anything. Definitely a Barbie pink and comes in regular MAC packaging.
And if you’re lucky, you can win a FREE Pink Friday 4 Lipstick courtesy of The Wendy Williams Show! Go here to enter.
What do you think of the lipstick now? Will you be getting it? I know I will!
This isn’t your grandmother’s rouge. New cream blushes have come a long way since those days. No more harsh cheek colors, now they’re used to achieve a natural subtle glow of color with the appearance that it comes from within the skin. I remember I use to be terrified of the thought of because of my oil skin. It took a lot of convincing at the MAC that day. I assured her ‘if this makes me look crazy I’m bringing it back’. Since that day I’ve been in love with cream blush. Despite some of the colors looking similar these formulas and shades are all very unique. To make it easier for everyone, I’ve created an all-in-one guide to these cream blushes, and included my preferred method to apply them. I’ve also included a description of the color as well as size and prices as well as pros and cons. As picture heavy as this post is I’m still not finished. I’m been seeing some nice cream blushes at the drug store that I have my eye.
These are all well pigmented, last throughout the day, and are great for all skin types. I apply them all in the same fashion: AFTER I’ve applied my foundation and setting powder.
