Leap Frog Bath Bomb $5.95 - an aphrodisiac blend with sweet undertones; he used jasmine, neroli and rosewood to create a sensual fragrance for those longing for their prince - or princess - to come. It's not all about the fragrance with this one; it's also brimming with cocoa butter and almond oil for a luxuriously moisturizing soak.

The Ex-Factor $4.95 - While it has the cute blue colour of a Smurf, there's nothing quite so sweet about Ex Factor. Its musky, creamy scent and dissolvable limbs make for a wickedly fun bath, where you can fizz away appendages and head until your thirst for revenge has been satisfied.

Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon (yes I already used half before snapping pics) $5.95 -makes mountains of fluffy white bubbles and the most supremely soft bath water. With Extra Virgin coconut oil and Fair Trade Shea Butter (like all of our Bubbleroons) Yuzo and Cocoa is the crème de la crème of chocolatey and moisturizing baths. Sweetheart Soap $6.95 - yeah I didn't dig this one, it smells like wood and medicine.

A Million Kisses Lip Tint $8.95 - ruby hued lip tint. Paint your pout a deep, just-bitten red- perfect for that unforgettable Valentine's kiss. We blend an undertone of blue into this one to make your smile appear even whiter, and your lips will taste of zesty lemons, sweet icing sugar and fragrant roses.

A Million Kisses Lip Tint Swatch - clearly this isn't a lip tint but full on lip color...love love love it! You'll want to use a lip brush to apply this one.

Product Description:

Skin Food Grape Seed Oil Dual Body Oil, This moist body oil, containing grape seed oil rich in linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid, and antioxidant vitamin E, makes dry skin soft and moist, adding resilience.

After shower, shake well and apply onto wet body.

First Impression:

This body caught my attention for many reasons; it smells very nostalgic and like something my grandmother would have worn as teen or young adult.  The bottle is nice and the separation of the ingredients makes for a good talking point.

Pros:

It smells wonderful!  Like I said above it has a nostalgic personality.  Imagine garden flowers and juicy grapes.  Even though grape seed is odorless Skin Food has done a great job creating this sent.  I was surprised to see this oil come with child safe cap.  Well surprised wasn’t the word because I initially thought it was broken.  But oil is has a sneaky way off finding its way out of bottles.  The rose colored oil and pink & plum tones look cute on my vanity.  Yes I like things like that.

Cons:

It’s a water-base body oil and as you can see you pay for approximately half water.  Once I had it completely shaken I poured it in the palms of my hands to apply it to my skin.  It didn’t run all over the place but when I tried to apply it directly to the skin it was a mess and ran like water.  As nice as the fragrance is it becomes so faint it’s almost undetectable in less than 30 minutes and I was hoping it would linger lightly a little longer.  I also didn’t find it to be very moisturizing and it didn’t provide any nice glow or sheen to the skin.  It literally felt like I was using water on my skin.  I also detected a small amount of fine shimmer in the bottle but it didn’t translate to the skin.

Tips and Suggestions:

Because of the watery consistency you may want to consider putting it in a spray bottle and using it as a mist.  It probably would have made a better body mist than body oil.  Many of you may already be familiar with the Skin Food brand, they’re most known in the U.S. for their baby bottle shaped nail polish bottles.

Price:

$15.00/ 160 ml

Availability:

Skin Food retail stores.  I bought mine from the Skin Food retail store at Los Cerritos Mall, across from Forever 21.

Overall Thoughts:

I didn’t like it.  I really had high hopes for this body oil but it fell short in all areas.  I really can’t think of a reason to keep it but I don’t think it was bad enough to return it to the store. I’m sure I’ll end up giving it away but I don’t have a use for it, especially not during the colder seasons.

Rose scented shower ‘lotion’ with scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, this is the most luxurious body softener that ever was (if we don’t say so ourselves!).

You guys know I’m a sucker for a good in-shower body moisturizer!  They save me so much time in the morning when I’m rushing out the door to get to work.  Lush has several in-shower moisturizers Body Butters to satisfy my needs; King of Skin, Schnuggle, Buffy Body, and You Snap the Whip…just to name a few.  This time they took a different approach by making the Body Butter into a cream form and putting it in a jar.  Ro’s Argan is an in-shower lotion infused with cocoa butter, almond oil, rose extract, and other goodies.  I know the cocoa butter/ rose combo sounds a little off-beat but trust me it’s wonderful.  It’s a creamy vanilla rose fragrance with a hint of cocoa; great for girls that love rose and even those that don’t particularly care for it.  The texture is creamy and surprisingly it wasn’t a pain for me to dig out product while in the shower and just it rinses easily.  I have dry skin and found Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner to be highly moisturizing but not as moisturizing as King of Skin (which is a Body Butter, so it’s supposed to be more moisturizing, versus Ro’s Agran which is a lotion).  But I also found it to be very softening and my skin feels amazing.  I do wish the price point was lower…maybe around $15-20, but you do get a great deal of product for the price.

P.S.  Lush, I’d be ever so happy if you captured this scent in an exfoliating body butter….pretty please.

If you own the Clarisonic Plus or Clarisonic Pro use the Body Brush Head with the cleansers of your choice. I told you guys the option to have the Body Brush Head would come in handy ;-)

If you don’t own it and want to save money use a gentle body brush or even a baby hair brush with your cleanser

Invest (and I’m not talking monetarily) in a good exfoliating facial cleanser; I use Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash. It contains a small amount of alpha hydroxy acid to get rid of dead skin cells and enhance skin cell renewal. It can be found at most drug store for around $6. If you’re already using a facial cleanser, run it all the way down to your neck and chest area. The line of demarcation that no one wants to talk about can often be caused by using your facial cleansers in only the immediate are of your face, causing a noticeable variation of skin color.

Exfoliate once a week. Again, if you’re already exfoliating weekly run it down to the décolleté. If you’re not, grab Freeman’s Superfruits for only a few bucks.

For an intense exfoliation try Murad Intensive Resurfacing Peel (which may be too aggressive for more despite not seeing any peeling when I used it on my skin), or better yet try the Murad's Rejuvenating Lift for Neck and Décolleté.

Always moisturize at night and use sunscreen during the day :)

After reading countless reviews online and consulting Carm B. of Lipstick Fashion Mascara, I finally decided to give L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream a try.  For all my tough decisions I talk to Carm first because she knows her stuff and she’s never recommended a product that I didn’t fall in love with.  I can go on for days talking about everything I have bought because of her, she sickly influential in the beauty industry.

I can’t find a single thing wrong with L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream.  I love the soft tube packaging, though I would like to see it with a flip-cap because I know any day now I’m going to lose this small cap.  The formula is great and what I like to call smart phone friendly, as it quickly absorbs into the skin without leaving residue and allowing you to use a touch screen phone.  I don’t like greasy hand creams because I don’t think a product has to be heavy and oily to provide hydration and moisture, but I also need it nicely scented so it grabs the attention of those around me, but not overwhelming or offensive.  I’m a lavender girl, 75% of the aromatics in my stash is lavender, but no two lavender scented fragrances are the same.  L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream is a woodsy, chamomile  lavender, If you’re looking for a girly vanilla lavender you won’t find it here.  I guess it’s time to invest in a large tube or multi-pack of this hand creams because this is the formula is topnotch.  I can also see a noticeable difference in my hands as it doesn’t look old and dehydrated anymore…it even has a nice glow.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15

Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 blends reparative oils and waxes with real sugar, a natural humectant, for delectable and dependable moisture. Sweet and tart black currant oil, rich in plumping essential fatty acids, cushions the lips while antioxidant grapeseed polyphenols and vitamins A, C, and E provide protection from wrinkle-causing free radicals. It also provides essential, year-round protection from damaging UV rays.

As wonderful as the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment with SPF 15 sounds, it fell short in most areas.  With the first hour of using it I wasn’t able to make it through my morning cup of coffee without having to reapply it twice.  It didn’t fully pick up until after the third application (about 2 hours into the day) and that’s when I noticed that it was able to keep my lips hydrated without the need to keep applying it for another 2 hours.  I’ve been keeping a really good eye on keeping up with my water in-take so I’m not sure why it took so long to see results.  I like the natural semi-matte finish and the fresh citrus scent left little to be desired; for the first 5 minutes it annoyed me but it faded completely away.  I can appreciate the inclusion of SPF 15 but with other brands such as Jack Black I can get SPF 25 in a lip balm (nix the gorgeous packaging) and spend less than half the price of this one.  Unlike Jack Black it is available in 4 shades besides clear, but Jack Black was designed for hot sexy guys so don’t expect to see an array of shades anytime soon.  I love the other benefits of this lip balm but I need to feel the benefits before I see them in order to get me to the store and pay $22.50 for it.
